Tutoring services for 2024, with limited availability for summer holiday sessions.

Mathematics GCSE individual session

**Limited availability for new students. **

Sessions will be taught on requested topic areas ensuring students are confident in their mathematical skills and in exam technique. This session will be supported by an hour session led by a qualified teacher. The elements of a typical session include pre-assessment of skills; decoding exam questions; gradual increase of complexity with independent tasks set at the conclusion of the session. The independent tasks will reinforce skills and understanding, which will be assessed.

Mathematics GCSE group session

These sessions contain all the elements of an individual session but sessions have up to four students present.

Mathematics for up to 13 years

**Limited availability for new students. **

Sessions delivered by a qualified teacher specialising in mathematics. A typical session includes a warm-up task, new knowledge, and activities to consolidate understanding. Learning is presented in engaging, visual ways to supporting a variety of learning styles.

Mathematics A-level support

Sessions consist generally of a skills check to ensure underlying skills are understood before beginning a specific topic this will be gradually increased in difficulty until skills are applied to prior exam questions. Following the session students will receive an evaluation of their work and follow on steps to work on independently to progress further.

Science GCSE individual session

Sessions on biology, chemistry or physics focusing on a specific area. The session usually contains a quiz on pre-existing understanding before exploring topic content with eventually applying it to exam style questions, before the session concludes with students set next steps to improve further.

The content is the alike to individual sessions but sessions will include up to four students.

Sessions will be taught on requested skills and topic areas to ensure the students are confident in grammar, vocabulary, spelling, verbal reasoning, and writing. The session will be supported by an hour-long session by an experienced tutor. The typical session includes an evaluation of skills and any gaps, practising those skills, and looking at past paper questions to reinforce the skills from class, which will be assessed.

The session will be supported by an hour-long session by an experienced tutor. The typical session includes an evaluation of skills and any gaps, practising those skills, developing increasingly complex independent writing, and looking at past paper questions to reinforce the skills and writing from class, which will be assessed.

Sessions will be taught on interview questions and techniques to ensure students are confident in facing a variety of questions and preparing to talk about themselves. The session will be supported by an hour-long session by an experienced tutor. The typical session includes a look at body language, preparing answers for typical questions that show off the child’s skills and values confidently, and developing their sense of their own worth.
